Problem Note 41788: The VALIDMEMNAME=EXTEND option is not recognized when you use EFI, the IMPORT and EXPORT procedures, and the Import/Export Wizard

Beginning in SAS® 9.3, the VALIDMEMNAME=EXTEND option is available to extend the characters that can be used in member names for SAS data sets, views, and item stores.
However, VALIDMEMNAME=EXTEND is not recognized and returns an error message when it is used with EFI, PROC IMPORT, PROC EXPORT, the Import Wizard, or the Export Wizard.
This feature will be recognized with EFI, PROC IMPORT, PROC EXPORT, Import Wizard, and Export Wizard in a future release of SAS software.
